Hydrocode
Calculations
As noted in the discussion in the section on
the SESAME library, I
have been heavily involved in developing EOS packages for
hydrocodes. I
have
also used these packages to make many numerical hydrocode calculations
in the study of
various
problems.
One report, "Equation
of State
and Constitutive Models for Numerical Simulations of Dust Impacts on
the Solar Probe," KTS09-1, August 2009, gives an overview of
hydrocode
calculations of hypervelocity impacts and discusses the material
modeling
work that was done in support of those calculations.
